Safeguarding
Professionals have a duty to ensure that all children, young people and vulnerable adults are safe and that their basic needs are being met. Rarely, if there are very significant concerns about a child’s safety or wellbeing, it is necessary to ask the advice of, or make a referral to an agency such as Children’s Social Care or the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) or police. These are statutory services led by the Local Authority or police.
Please read the Safeguarding Policy which is viewable here for more information.
Duty of Candour
Please be aware that our therapists have a Duty of Candour which means that they have a duty to inform you verbally and in writing if an unexpected/intended event in your child’s care that may cause harm and to provide apology and support in this eventuality.
